■International Technical Training
Foreign Aid Training Program vehemently advocated by Chinese leaders and sponsored by China’s Ministry of Commerce, began in August of 1998 and have got much recognition and great support from both Chinese and foreign governments, which makes them bridges of friendship and cooperation between China and developing countries.
ICM was authorized to be involved in Foreign Aid Training Program in 2006, and until now it has provided training courses for about 111 engineers from 30 countries, including training courses, on-the-job training and on-site visit in best practice organization in related sector, such as National key lab in CBMA, waste co-processing technology with cement kiln of Beijing Cement Plant Co., Ltd., co-generation technology with waste heat of Beijing Liulihe Cement Plant and 10,000t/d cement line of China United Cement Corporation etc. The training workshop covers Cement Cleaner Production, Concrete Sustainable Development, New Building Materials, Building Regulations & Management and Land Resources etc.

Introduction
The seminar on cement cleaner production for developing countries, organized by the Ministry of Commerce, People’s Republic of China, sponsored by ICM.
Altogether 29 representatives from 14 countries attended the conference, coming from various government ministries and local departments (see the following table) in cement and environmental protection sector.

Outcome
Cement
industry consumes a large amount of resources and energy and causes much
pollution, China cement industry has expedited the pace of structural
adjustment and industrial upgrade, and carried out a lot of R&D and
practices on cement cleaner production. Now these vast experiences have
been accumulated to help other countries, together to promote the global
sustainable development via suck seminars.
This seminar was aiming to proving an opportunity to share cement cleaner production technology and it did greatly promote the sustainable development, and provide a platform for international cooperation in cement sector.
►‘Seminar on Building Regulations & Management and Land Resources Planning & Management for Cambodia’ held during March 25-April 8, 2008 in Beijing, China
Introduction
In June of 2007, both governments signed Agreement on further cooperation. According to the agreement, this seminar is sponsored by Chinese government upon the request of Cambodian government.
This seminar was attended by 20 Cambodian officials from Cambodian organizations (see the following table), they exchanged and shared the experiences together with Chinese government officials and experts through lectures, technical discussion and site visit.

Outcome
This seminar
strengthened the great friendship between China and Cambodia. Through
this seminar, Cambodian officials not only shared technical experiences
with Chinese experts, knew better about the Chinese culture, but also
experienced the friendship between the two countries.

from 21 developing countries, coming from key organizations (see the
following table) take part in this course. This training course included
Technical lecture by Chinese experts, practice in lab and workshop with
Chinese cement factories.

Outcome
Cement
cleaner production is of important for energy-efficiency and CO2
emission reduction, and this kind of training program will effectively
promote such process.
Besides, through this training course, many cooperation relationships have been successfully built between participants and Chinese enterprises. Six projects has been signed after this seminar.

Introduction
This seminar organized by Chinese Ministry of Commerce, sponsored by ICM are very important method to promote the South-to South cooperation. It is an effective and fruitful practice of Chinese policy to collectively develop with other developing countries.

Outcome
16 Chinese experts from Government Ministry, institute, university and other related organizations has been invited to give presentation during this seminar. Group discussion and on-site visit were verified to be efficient way for such seminar.
This is the first foreign training program implemented by ICM, and this seminar has been thought as a gate to strengthen the understanding between China and other overseas countries in green building and energy efficiency field. Moreover, officials experienced Chinese history and culture, and the friendly people.

‘Training Course on High Performance Concrete for Vietnam’ during August
10-22 in 2003 in Beijing, China
The training course was attended by 3 engineers from Vietnam for the
lectures of materials performance durability evaluation. On-site training in
National key laboratory for concrete testing was available for participants.
- ‘Training Course on Cement Manufacturing Technology’
on November, 2004 in Beijing, China
3 engineers from Thailand attended training course on cement manufacturing
technology, especially special cement. This training also provided on-site
training in cement plant for engineers.
- ‘The 1st Training Course on Cement & Low Cost
Housing Technology’ on May 2006 in Beijing, China
15 engineers from Iran attended 1st training course on cement & low cost
housing technology, and on-site training in plant was arranged to strengthen
the understanding of theories from training course.
- ‘The 2nd Training Course On Cement & Low Cost
Housing Technology’ on September, 2006 in Beijing, China
11 Iranian delegates attended 2nd training course on cement & low cost
housing technology, and the on-site training was included.
- ‘Training Course on Nano-Coating Technology’ during
December 8 and December 20, 2006 in Beijing, China
3 delegates from Vietnam attended training course on nano-coating technology
during 8 December and 20 December, 2006, and the on-site training was
included.
